~~Vocab Terms~~


Here are my vocabulary terms.



  1. Ballistic fingerprinting- a method that finds the gun that matches the bullet that was shot in the crime scene.


  2. Bloodstain patterns- the size and lengths of bloodstains that help determine where the person was moving at and where they died at as well.


  3. Electrophesis- An electric current is then passed through a means that contains the mixture in it. Then each kind of molecule travels through the means at a different rate. IT depends on its electrical charge and the size of it. The separation of the molecules is based on these differences of how they are separated from large to small.


  4. Forensic anthropology- study of human remains.


  5. Forensic evidence- is the application of forensic science and technology to help recognize a specific object that was found in a crime scene.


  6. Forensic science- a method of obtaining evidence related to a crime.


  7. Fluorescent- A bright vivid color that glows under a black light.


  8. Lacerations – Something that has been torn roughly. Such as a rough cut.


  9. Larvae - The young of any insect which goes through metamorphosis (changes in body structure) before becoming an adult.


  10. Luminal spray -A substance is used to help increase fingerprints to be shown.


  11. Maggots- The larvae of flies and other insects that live on rotting food. They usually help figure the time of death the person was killed at.


  12. Science fiction- fake sciences. Such has future technologies that may help with solving crime scenes better but in reality will never come true.
